Sausage-All secures first tranche of finance

Company heralds its new range of foods as a revolution in food preparation and consumption

Through a combination of private investments and crowd-funding, the unconventional food manufacturer Sausage-All has obtained enough financing to begin full-scale commercial production. Sausage-All achieved brief notoriety last year over its unusual claim that all food could be delivered in sausage form and would be better for it. At the time, its founder and CEO, Clive Terry, defended his statements, saying: “People spend a lot more money on kitchen equipment and use up a lot more space than they realize. Standardizing all your food will make life much easier. Think how much less time you will have to spend searching a supermarket, looking up recipes, finding ingredients etc. Ovens, conventional or microwave, will no longer be needed. A small range of oblong frying pans will suffice.”

Yesterday, at the launch of the new operation, Mr Terry repeated his claims and added: “We have sausages of every kind of meat and poultry filling. We have fish sausages, as well as vegetable sausages. Even some of my team were sceptical about the puddings but we now have a whole range from various crumbles to summer pudding to jam roly-poly sausages. To be honest, the hardest ingredient has been the soup but we think we’re close to getting that one right." However Mr Terry did admit that to date the company's most popular item and best seller had been the meat 'n mash sausage with conventional sausage meat one end and mashed potato at the other."
